2009 Spring Valley Boating Rules

Non-Residents must be guests of a paid Association Member, or renting property in Spring Valley from a paid Association Member. If you are not a paid Association Member or guest of a paid Association Member, you are trespassing on private property.  

You are required to read and follow the common property rules posted.

bulletAll boats must be registered with SVPORC.  Call 686-1825 to register your boat.
bulletAny unregistered boats will be considered abandoned and will become property of SVPORC
bulletBoating season is May 1 – October 31.
bulletIf you are fishing from your boat, you must read and follow the fishing rules posted and pay the required fishing fees.
bulletBoats are only permitted on Burgess Lake .
bulletBoating times are ½ hour before sunrise and ½ hour after sunset.  No night boating is permitted.
bulletPaddle boats must be anchored down and locked when unattended.  All other boats must be anchored and tied down when not in use.
bulletAll boaters 18 and under are required to wear the correct size USCG approved personal flotation device (PFD) at all times when in a boat.  All other persons are required to have the correct size USCG PFD on board and within reach while boating,  It is strongly recommended that everyone wear a PFD, and remain seated at all times while boating.
bulletOnly electric trolling motors are permitted--no gas motors are permitted at any time.
bulletAll boaters are required to give bank fishermen a wide berth to prevent tangling fishing lines with boats.
bulletBoat trailers may not be left overnight on any common parking areas.
bulletBoats can only launch from the ramp near the pavilion.
bulletDo not throw anything into the lake.
bulletYou must remove all trash when you leave.
bulletProperty owners are responsible for making sure they, as well as their guests and renters, are aware of these rules.

ANY VIOLATION OF THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF BOATING PRIVILEGES AND/OR MEMBERSHIP.
